I'M JORDI, A LANGUAGE TEACHER

Specializing in Catalan and Spanish, with over 10 years of experience. I consider myself lucky to be able to work in something I'm passionate about. I find the world of languages fascinating, and I truly enjoy the process of learning a new one. That's why I decided long ago to focus on teaching my two native languages: Catalan and Spanish. This way, I can share my motivation and passion for learning with my students.

I also speak other languages like English, Italian, German, Turkish, and French—although I'm still a learner in some of them. So I understand the challenges that come with language learning and can help you overcome them.

WHAT WILL YOU FIND HERE?

I offer Catalan and Spanish lessons for adults who want to learn the languages spoken in Catalonia. You can choose from structured courses with a fun, progressive dynamic, or conversation-focused classes where you set your own pace.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The first session is dedicated to assessing your level, understanding your goals, and choosing the methodology that best fits your needs.

The lessons are online, using the platform that works best for you (Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet). Sessions can last 30, 60, or 90 minutes depending on your needs.

If you choose the structured course, I’ll recommend some materials in the first session.

This was my first lesson with Jordi. I really enjoyed it. We just talked and he corrected my grammar and filled in the words that I didn't know. It was a very enjoyable session and I look forward to doing it again.

Wonderful, effective, interesting, and enjoyable lesson as always. We always have the most fascinating conversations and every time I get to learn more about the country and language. We clarify my doubts about pronunciation, grammar, and how to express myself. He speaks very clearly at a pace where you can still understand everything and I feel comfortable to interrupt and ask questions. He always searches for better vocabulary and expressions to improve my speech. He couldn´t be a nicer teacher and I admire his patience which I appreciate on the days when my brain is a bit foggy. I always look forward to our lessons, which pass by so quickly (because the conversation is always so fascinating) and I leave them motivated. Thanks to him I could take my language skills to the next level, and I recommend him to anyone wishing to do the same, whether in Catalan or Spanish.

Avui he aprés el uso del passat perifràstic, utilizant el verb "anar". Vaig-vas-va-VAM-VAU-van＋infinitiu. Després hem parlat de anècdota de traball com un intèrprete. Sempre guadixo mol amb el Jordi sensei! Merci 😉

I enjoyed the mix of activities, ranging from an informal conversation about schooling in the United States and Spain to a discussion and correction of a short paper I'd written about attending a bullfighting event in Spain many years ago. El tiempo pasó rápido.

The lesson was quite successful in the sense that my questions were answered and my concerns were addressed. I hope to continue my lessons with Jordi in the future as well.
